Game Art: Joseph DeLappe's "Me and My Predator" (2014)

Joseph DeLappe's latest performance Me and My Predator, takes place in RL. The project reminds me of Aram Bartholl's WoW and Waffa Bilal's 3rdi. An intriguing mix but also a truly original take on dronephilia. What is Me and My Predator? As DeLappe explains:"A 1/72nd scale plastic model of a Predator Drone is suspended on a carbon fiber rod connected to a custom made aluminum c-clamp/head band attached to my head. The Personal Drone System is designed for insecurity and comfort - to simulate using analog technologies what it might be like to live under droned skies..." (Joseph DeLappe)
