Peter Lu's "THE SLAB" is a custom game controller for Mark Essen’s fighting game NIDHOGG.

What is this beauty made of?

"Surface made from solid cast cement and finished with a beeswax and olive oil mix. A sealed mdf framed was used as a casting box and OOMOO was used as negatives for the buttons and joystick offsets. Cement was reinforced with steel rod and wire as well as wood glued against it after casting. Wooden frame made from stained poplar and finished with Polycrylic attached to cement using liquid nails for simplicity and reinforcement. A Teensyduino was used as a keyboard controller. Weighs about 20 pounds" (Peter Lu)

This project has officially reached the GENIUS level.

I expect THE SLAB to be sold exclusively on FAB.
