Josh Harle, a multi‐disciplinary PhD candidate researching Tactical Space through an Australian Research Council Linkage grant, has created a photo‐realistic recreation of Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art as a playable video game. As Harle explains:

"Visitors to the studio can check out the time‐lapse documentation of the reconstruction process and play the final game on a 42” crisp cinema 3Dscreen fromthe comfort of couches. The work explores everyday experiences of space in an age of mediating technology, playing the virtual gamespace against the physical building itindexes and isinstalled within. Furthermore the 3D screen suggests a perceptual illusion to the eyes. Where does space come into existence? The artist directs attention to our ability to perceptually inhabit the virtualspace, and pleasure in doing so." (Harle)
