This is pretty wild. Hannah Epstein and Kevin Brophy are deploying the beta of their new project Newest Art Game *Hot*Girls*Only. Now,  Epstein and Brophy are

recent MFA grads from Carnegie Mellon and students of international troublemaker Paolo Pedercini aka Molleindustria. Specifically:
Hannah Epstein (AKA hanski) is a neo-folk artist working in the cross-section of textiles, experimental games and video art. Raised in Nova Scotia, Epstein is the daughter of a Latvian and an Ashkenazi Jew, a cross-cultural mixing that informs her post-identity politics. (source)

Kevin Brophy is a reality artist: an illusion trying to change the world. Her multidisciplinary practice mimics the cultural dominant in order to evaluate socio-political power structures and their effect on the individual. She is just a placeholder, not to abandon those who suffer shared prescription. With the increasingly pervasive Social we are now more identity than self. And, it is hard to say ‘now’, to pretend like it is new. Through exaggerated forms of communication, she critiques in a satirical and self-implicating way. (source)

Here's some background info: Newest Art Game *Hot*Girls*Only is a response to a Facebook post by an unnamed Rhizome editor (see below), who criticized artists for making games (can you believe it?!? Gosh). Check this out:

YOYOYO

The first of the sub-alt game genre, Newest Art Game *Hot*Girls*Only is a reinvention/rethinking/subversion of the white cube.
