Game Art: Christopher Flower's "Analog Video Games" (2008)
Christopher Flower is a Montreal-based artist. His multi-disciplinary art practice draws from a variety of sources: conceptual art, illusionism, do-it-yourself invention, and Wikipedia. Between 2007 and 2008, Flower created a series of playful installation: Streetari (2007), a two-channel video installation in the form of a ‘kinetic analog game’ which he presented at G101 gallery in the Funland Arcade exhibition and "Analog Video Games" (2008, pictured), which plays all sorts of tricks on the viewers. A video of "Analog Basketball" can be seen on Flower's website. Highly recommended.
