Game Art: Beverley Hood's "Glitching" (2012-)
What happens to the body when it adheres to computational logic? With Glitching, artist Beverly Hood examines the movements of sports and action computer games and applies them to humans beings. Created with the use of a Microsoft Kinect 3D sensor, Glitching invites the viewer "to step into the digital shoes of the 'lead dancer', and attempt to follow the awkward and intricate, glitch choreography performed by the dancing troupe on screen." This artwork was showcased at The Human Race, an exhibition hold by Pathfood Gallery at the University of Stirling. This blog documents the entire producting process.
