"Avant-garde heralds of the videogame art uprising, Zoe Quinn, game developer and founder of Dames Making Games, and Courtney Stanton, game producer and founder of No Show Conference and Women in Games Boston, are proud to announce their newest extravaganza, the Pavilion of the Voltaic Arts. The Pavilion is dedicated to videogame, interactive, and new media art works, presenting a carefully-curated cavalcade of art experiences for the audience’s delight. We seek to create a space to examine videogame and interactive artwork as art, rather than as a technical/design achievement.

This initial shindig will be themed around local cooperative play, which will provide the audience with a unique opportunity to examine, discuss, and participate in works designed to facilitate in-person play and interaction. The goal is to interact with these works outside of a living room, to interact with the works’ artists outside of a bar, and to place these works into the larger spectrum of electronic artwork."
