"Taking place in Braamfontein, A MAZE. / Johannesburg 2014 is set to become one of the hottest spots for games and playful media in Africa. Festival director and A MAZE. founder Thorsten S. Wiedemann says the A MAZE. 2014 programme is jam packed: “We are excited to bring together the most relevant creative individuals and forward thinkers of the local and international games and digital art scene.  Kicking off on 10 September and running until 13 September, we have a three day programme packed with talks, panel discussions, the best selection of independent games, interactive installations, a market hack, workshops, screening and music.”

A MAZE. / Johannesburg 2014 is presented in partnership with the Digital Arts Department of the University of the Witwatersrand, in co-operation with Kalashnikovv Gallery and supported by Goethe-Institut, Swedish Institute, Connect_ZA/ British Council and Pro Helvetia.  It is also co-funded by the European Union." The opening Party is scheduled for September 10, 19:00 at iClub in the Tshimologong Precinct, 41, Juta Street, Braamfontein. The opening will be held by:  Thorsten S. Wiedemann, festival director of A MAZE.
