Game Art: Timo Bredenberg's "Last Worker Standing" (2015)

Described by Bredenberg as a "Dyst-ironical speculative fiction machinima," Last Worker Standing is machinima about a multipurpose multitasking vacuum cleaning robot sweeping floors of ruined industrial loft premises of an abandoned startup company. As the artist writes:

"Last Worker Standing shows one possible outcome of automation of work. What kind of new meanings emerge when automated robots with non-adaptive algorithms keep repeating same tasks that have lost their utility? What is work without utility?"

Last Worker Standing

was exhibited at Gaming the System exhibition in

2015 at Hakaniemi Metro Station, Helsinki, Finland.
