"I had a small LAN party in the middle of a warehouse. I hacked into the back end of the game so that when gamer's actions (footsteps, gunfire, jumps, nades, etc) happen, they are transposed into a graphical score for a percussion ensemble to play live. Basically the pipeline is this. Gamer actions >> OSC to Ableton Live >> notes quantized to 1/16 notes >> MIDI Out >> Custom Openframeworks app taking the midi notes and generating a graphical score for the musicians. I also mixed the sound effects of the game coming out. We did a performance on Saturday and again this coming Friday." (Riley Harmon)
