She earned a BA from UCBerkeley and her MA in sculpture at SFState. She had early exposure to watercolor painting watching her mother paint landscapes and her father who painted vignettes with a humorous cast of characters. She has had solo shows in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, St. Louis and is currently represented by Perimeter Gallery in Chicago. She has received 2 NEA Visual Artist Individual Fellowships, a Virginia A. Groot Foundation Grant, 2 Marin Arts Council Fine Arts Individual Artist Grants and a residency at the deYoung Museum.
