Event: "Twofivesix" (Brooklyn, New York, May 11, 2013)

"Twofivesix. A Videogame Arts and Culture Festival is a one-day celebration of play as culture, placing game designers into conversation with other digital creatives." (KillScreen) Full details here. This one day conference in Brooklyin, New York is definitely more corporate (Facebook... ouch, Foursquare... double ouch), industry-driven, and institutionally legitimized than the recent Canadian event Vectors, but it seems interesting nonetheless. At the same time, the thought of more debates around the "videogames as art" paralogism terrifies me. It looks polished, slick, and crowd-funded as you would expect.
