The third edition of Le Salon Ludique, a not-for profit event series, designed to
initiate and sustain a critical dialogue centered on experimental practices across artistic disciplines previously featured on GameScenes, focuses on the oniric. Featuring the works of Kim Hoang, Hamish Lambert, Ben Swinden, and Zach Soares, aka Mouffe, Paloma Dawkins, GP Lackey and Bronson Zgeb, YlangYlang, and Hazy Montagne Mystique. The event invites visitors "to play, and wander through a selection of digital dreamscapes, experience the sensations of alternative interfaces, and engage in critical conversations with creators and attendees about the works." One of the works on display is an interactive art installation titled Mouffe and describes as "a daydream simulator". The interface is quite unique: "while lying down inside a tent and using a quilt as a controller, players set off abstract animations projected onto the ceiling of the tent". I wonder what Tracy Emin would dream of...
