This seminar series provide interdisciplinary perspectives on games and provide contextual information about their history, technologies, scholarly research, industry, artistic value and potential future.STANFORDScheduled for February 20, 2015, the next event in the series is a lecture by Katherine Isbister titled "Games Move Us - An Exploration of Design Innovations that Lead to Player Emotions".Katherine's focus is emotion and social connection--understanding the impact of design choices on these qualities, and figuring out how to get better at making and evaluating digital experiences that have these qualities. She's an associate professor jointly appointed between the Computer Science Department at New York University’s School of Engineering in Brooklyn, and the NYU Game Center.Katherine's talk will take place on February 20 at Stanford University from 12pm-1pm in

Shriram 104 room.
