Association M2F Créations presents the multimedia festival GAMERZ, in Aix-en-Provence, from November 26th until December 4th 2009.

Festival opens on Friday November 27th, at 6.30 p.m.

Dedicated to games and their diversion in contemporary creation, GAMERZ gathers – every year in Aix-en-Provence- artists, researchers, as well as international artists specialized in digital creation around a rich, innovative and play program at the border of arts, sound creation and new technologies. Involving interactive fields and new technologies in contemporary art, GAMERZ FESTIVAL makes discover and shares these new creations to a larger and more diverse audience. 
Coming from different European networks of creation, the artists join GAMERZ to decipher codes of the video games culture placing the audience at the core of an interactive and playful world thanks to exhibitions, performances, debates and workshops.  This is a major meeting around multimedia culture and a new artistic dimension. Since 2006, GAMERZ imposed itself as a hunter of new ways of expression.  On the occasion of this 5th edition (from November 26th,2009 to December 4th, 2009 in Aix-en-Provence), GAMERZ FESTIVAL introduces a huge multimedia playing field, which welcomes the production of about thirty artists within six different places for a week. 
Taking place in the Fondation Vasarely, in the Ecole Supérieure d'Art, in some rooms in Seconde Nature and in different cultural places in Aix-en-Provence, GAMERZ is a real cultural tour that shakes the town.
