EVENT: FILE GAMES RIO 2011 – I WANT TO PLAY (April 12 to May 8, 2011, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil)
"Between April 12 and May 8, 2011, the second edition of FILE GAMES RIO will happen at Oi Futuro, Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition will present games and artistic works that reflect the game culture in different areas of electronic arts: installations, video installations, video performances, besides electronic games for various platforms created by artists and independent game developers.
Besides the games, the exhibition inaugurates FILE Animation, which will feature a selection of animations created from the ambience of games. It will also be shown machinimas that illustrate how changes in the programming can be applied to games, resulting in artistic creations and experiments.
Also as part of the program of FILE GAMES RIO 2011 – I Want To Play, will be held, on April 12 and 13, 2011, the FILE Symposium, a space for discussion on new media, which will be attended by Brazilians an! d foreigners artists, theorists and researchers in the field of game art and creative economy."
