The

Tetris effect

(or Tetris syndrome) is a well documented psychological phenomenon. The Doom Dream, however, is a completely different experience, an experience which has been documented in art-game form by Ian MacLarty, the autor of

Action Painting Pro

, a Jackson Pollock's simulator. As the Artist writes, Doomdream is  "An impression of my dreams after I've been playing Doom all day. (...) There is no combat or ending. Just run around until you get bored." Blocky, pixellated, and oneiric, Doomdream is available for free on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X.
