Stephan Richard Hanf, one of the organizers of the indie/game art event SPIELSALON, just sent us really good news about the upcoming second edition:
"The SPIELSALON is the festival of author games. It represents the artistic development of computer games. New German and international computer games can be played by the audience in a curated exhibition at the Fridericianum, one of Europe's oldest and most significant museums. The exhibition is framed by lectures, presentations and panel discussions.
In addition to the public exhibition, the SPIELSALON offers a meeting place for the growing German indie game scene - the game developers of the future. One example is the computer game Tiny & Big, which was developed at the University of Kassel.
The game won the German Computer Game Award 2013 for the best youth game and the Student Showcase at the Independent Games Festival in San Francisco. The SPIELSALON will take place for the second time from 27.11. until 01.12.2013. We want to establish the festival as a long-term regular cultural event in Kassel."
