"The first contact with the bitmap we have had in the first youthfulness, with a first videogames in the bar and with the old console. The resolution of image of these first instrument for game not adapts for a fine drawing and the designers of those age had to adapt the drawing to the capacity of resolution of the software and hardware of age. The perception of defect (the minimal resolution) has characterized these drawings (Supermario, Space Invaders). These drawings they take part of the story of a generation. Now the designers they repropose the pixel effect of the age '80, in particular into the publicity. This multimedia world a lot developped digitally hides the bitmap. The bitmap it's the very origin of the virtual image. Now all we have a photographic machine with millions of resolution pixels. But we not seeking the minimal point of the picture. The atom of this technology it's the bitmap. I propose the poetic bitmap. I want exalting the beautiful of this atom image. I want exalting the singularity chromatic and of the form of the bitmap. It's normal, the technology will develop resolutions always more high and rendering the bitmap always more invisible. I want to proceed to contrary. I want to go from the bitmap and to study it and to exalt it. (Luciano Fabale)"
