Paul Steen, House to House, installation, 2009 (Galerie Kleefeld)
"House to House is a game played with tin soldiers on an architectural model. It explores the mechanics of the contemporary war machine on urban terrain. The game has been displayed on a 2x1 meter model of Minutka Square in Grozny, Chechnya." (Paul Steen, 2009)
Also: Minukta Square ("A music project initiated in 2005. The concerts were anti-war political cabaret performances involving uniforms, gogo dancers and yoghurt. The music is a blend of gameboy sounds, 80s new wave, and industrial music. The lyrics deal with racism, militarism and neo-colonialism, 2005) is available here. Our favorite is "Game Over".
