The Swedish artist Kristofffer Zetterstrand mix art- and videogame history in his works. In the spring of 2008 Zetterstrand created seven large glass mosaics at the Bromma high school outside Stockholm. The mosaics remind you of old bitmap art from the eighties and you will find references to both art historic works and videogames as Burger Time and Donkey Kong inside them. Zetterstrand works with traditional media as mosaics and paintings. As early as 2002 he made a serial of paintings from Counterstrike called “Free looking mode”. The paintings are from after life. Because when you got killed in the game, you have to wait until the round has ended to return to the game, and it is during this time you can choose to see the game progress in "Free-look Mode" and explore the environment (Mathias Jansson).
