Jeffrey Moser is a video artist that works with the cinematic image. His videos are inspired by the analog to digital transfer from physical film to virtual representation. His long term project, cinematicfixations.com, is a visual database of film. The goal is to create a complete visual record of every frame of every film ever made. Each fixation arranges ever frame of a film into a three by one rectangle, revealing the underlying color palette of the film and proving a visual timeline of the light-Rhythm and color sequence in the movie. His video work appropriates iconic cinematic sequences, analyzes the visual data, and manipulates them into new visions of recognizable images.
